Hi, I'm Hieu, a Research Assistant at Center for AI Research (CAIR), VinUniversity, advised by Quoc-An Luong and Dr. Dung Duy Le, working on Vision-and-Language Navigation (VLN).
My research interests lie in robot learning, particularly efficient and reliable learning, planning, and control under limited data and computational resources. Real robots rarely have millions of demonstrations or access to data-center-scale computing. They must learn from limited experience, make decisions efficiently, and recognize when the world differs from their training environments.
My research so far has approached this from three sides: (1) learning efficiently by building prior knowledge such as physics or language into the learner, (2) acting reliably by adding lightweight safeguards to existing policies instead of retraining them, and (3) evaluating rigorously to expose where learned systems fail.
